eith Cameron-Smith, from Brisbane, will be the guest speaker for the night. Keith gave us this introductory quote about his own journey:
"On the 4th August 1991 I declared to my wife of 26 years: 'I am a homosexual man.'
I had crossed a line. There could be no turning back."

inally I don’t feel like I’m the only one.
Before I came to GAMMA I hated myself …I just wanted to die.
I like it that I can be with Gay guys and be honest and not have to be drinking or smoking or playing the game [flirting].
From one man who first came to GAMMA 20 years after he had come out: “I just wish I’d had this before”.
I’ve got a group of guys who I can think of as my friends now.

wo years ago GAMMA’s website was redesigned and a new look flyer was produced; these two changes have carried our main outreach work ever since.
This year, after some qualitative research and some focus groups, the GAMMA Executive took up a motion from the last A.G.M. and decided to invest some of our hard–won funding into newer, more up–to–date, professional advertising material. Jase had a connection through a gay business group (Queer Professionals) to a person in advertising and their company gave us a significant discount on some superb new work.
To date all the Sex on Premises Venues (SOPV) in the Inner city have our new posters and brochures. When we have some more funding we will beginning distributing these to an ever increasing network of people and health/support services.
Examples of the new posters and brochures will be available at the mid year dinner.
